Padlet has many different features including file uploading, video recording, and even options to embed resources. This tool is easy to navigate and is also available in 42 different languages! The tool also has a content filtering feature that automatically removes bad language. How could I use Padlet in my classroom? Padlet could be used in my classroom to connect groups in group work. I then can have other students post questions for their classmates or give feedback. This is helpful for students who may feel intimidated to speak up in class as well as multi-language learners. Parents could also be added to the group so they can see the work their student is completing. |
What is YoTeach?
YoTeach! is a great tool to help foster get discussion among learners. The website offer many great feature including video uploads, image uploads, voice uploads, and even has a doodle option. These multiple options for contributing to the discussion allows for all students to be involved. The tool also allows the teach to monitor the messages and remove messages if needed. The chat room can be password protected which helps ensure the safety of students. How can I implement YoTeach in my classroom? I would implement this in my class by posting higher thinking questions and having students answers and discuss their answers with their classmates. It could also be used as a share and tell tool. Allowing students to share something positive that happened to them at the end of each week. |
What is Popplet?
Popplet is a website and app where students can form and visualize ideas. The tool uses mind-mapping and graphic organizers to help students visualize and connect the content. Students can add information they find to the Popplet and find relationships between someone else's ideas. How could I use Popplet in my classroom? Popplet could be used in my classroom as an introduction to a lesson. I could have students research the topic and share what they found. After the lesson we could go back to Popplet and students can add more things they learned. |

I found this tool on Emily's website and thought it was such a great tool. It allows students to use their creativity. What is Little Bird Tales StoryTelling? This tool allows students to create their very own stories, presentations, and journals. The app is user friendly and ideal for kindergarten through sixth grade. Students can draw illustrations, import images, record their voices, and there are many other great features! Students can collaborate and work together to create a book and share it with the class! How could I implement this tool in my classroom? I could implement this in my classroom by allowing students to use the app during center times to draw and create their own illustrations. I could also have students create books and record them reading the book to give to their parents for Mother's day, Father's day, or Grandparents day. |
