Interactive Video
Reflection
Why did I choose to use Edpuzzle?
I chose to use this tool to create my interactive video because the site was very user friendly and easy to use. The site even offered a wide variety of videos you could choose from and you can also upload your own videos. Adding questions and/or notes to the video is easy to do and upload. I like that the video pauses and asks the questions and also gives the students the correct answer. The website allows teachers to share the videos to students with ease through adding their students to the class on the site. The tool also allows teachers to assign and create due dates. Teachers can monitor and see where the students are in watching video and answering the questions. Compared to the other tools found this tool easier to use and easy for students to access.
How was my experience creating an interactive video?
Overall my experience creating an interactive video was a very positive experience. I found the the process of adding questions and notes to the video very easy to do. I think this tool would be very beneficial for online learning and individual work for students in class. Teachers could use this tool to create interactive read alouds and collect data on comprehension. Interactive videos could also be very beneficial during center times in younger grades by allowing students to work independently while the teacher is working with other students. The interactive videos help keep engagement and allows teachers to see the work that has been completed. I think this tool would be helpful in the future for adding more engagement to videos and/or individual work.
