Above are the students in our class. They can earn points throughout the day for good behavior! I can also assign activities, message students, and message parents. Students can also get feedback on areas that have a need for improvement.
These are some of the behaviors students can earn points for doing!
These are a few of the needs work behaviors. Points will not be deducted for receiving a needs work comment but will be followed with a discussion and an action plan.
ClassDojo allows me to place the students in groups and allows me to give points to groups as a whole. This works well during small group time and makes it easy to reward groups all at once!
ClassDojo even has the option to invite parents! This allows parents to view their child's points and see why their child received these points! ClassDojo also has a class story feature where we can post photos and videos of what we did that day! *Parents can click on the image above to be redirected to the ClassDojo site to sign up for their own account!*
Why Am I Choosing to Use ClassDojo?
ClassDojo helps foster a classroom community. Students can earn points individually, in groups, or as a whole class. This creates collaboration among peers and builds relationships. It gives students motivation and helps them stay on track throughout the day. In addition to giving positive feedback there is also a needs work section to ClassDojo. While in this section it can be changed to take away points I will NOT be taking away students points. Rather I will let them know what they need to work on and add points once the issue is resolved or has improved.
